The Taskbar was first introduced with Windows 95. Since then, it is available in every version of Windows OS. It is a small rectangular bar located at the bottom of the screen. What are its functions? Well, the Taskbar allows a user to locate and launch programs through the Start button, open Task Manager, view the time and date, and a lot more. What’s best? You can set your Taskbar the way you prefer. For instance, you can set one entire Taskbar row in Windows at the top for the Quick Launch Icons, and the bottom row for the Taskbar Buttons. It works in Windows 10/8/7.

Reserve an entire Taskbar row for Taskbar buttons & icons

That said, here is one thing you should know for Windows 10. You cannot drag and drop icons in the second row.  You can rearrange them, but you cannot drag and drop them in the second row until icons have taken all the possible space on the Taskbar. It also depends on your monitor size and resolution. If you are using a Wide Monitor, it will take an even longer time. On top of this, now that all open instances of applications are clubbed together, it may make little sense for some of the users. I hope the post was easy to follow, and if you pin a lot of icons on the Taskbar, then you were able to set one entire row at the top to be reserved for the Quick Launch Icons, and the bottom row for the Taskbar Buttons and App icons in Windows Windows 10/8/7.
