MiniWE is a .NET 3.0 based application, and so is supported by all versions of Windows. When you click on the program icon, it will pop up as an app launcher. It also has the ability to let you browse through folders like Windows Explorer. When you click on a file, it will be launched by its default program and miniWE will get automatically minimized.
MiniWE offers the drag and drop functionality. It shows file thumbnails, can create more MiniWE and can create MiniWE shortcuts. I would say this is a good way to organize your apps, folders, files and pin them on your desktop with MiniWE free.

The program is good at its features, but there are some features that you might not like. Firstly, the application is fixed at its place i.e. bottom center of your desktop. It can’t be moved or resized according to our wish. Secondly, the icons displayed or the image preview is without or no clarity, the icons are pixelating when they are displayed on MiniWE. The program has a user-friendly and a good interface. There aren’t many dialogs that pop-up, after a minute or two. There are simply three buttons at the bottom, one for settings, one close button and other for navigating between folders. To create MiniWE shortcuts, there is a wizard that helps you while your create your own MiniWE.
