Facebook Story Archive

As the name says, Facebook story archive is a place where you can find all the disappeared videos, images, etc. that you shared via Facebook story. In other words, it is where you can find all the expired stories. Sometimes we share something important via Facebook story and forget to save it in local storage. If you often do the same, this functionality of Facebook might be helpful for you. As a Facebook user, you can turn it on and use this function for free. Right now, you can use the Facebook story archive on the web version and mobile application. If you are using the mobile version of Facebook (m.facebook.com), you might not get it.

Turn on and see Facebook Story Archive

To turn on and see the Facebook Story Archive on your Facebook profile, follow these steps- To get started, open up the Facebook.com website and enter your username and password to log into your account. After doing that, open your profile and click the Archive button. This is a tab that is visible alongside Timeline, About, Friends, Photos, etc. After that, you should find a button that says Turn On Story Archive. You need to click this button to turn on this feature.

If you have done that, you can find all the expired stories in the same tab.

If you hover your mouse over an expired story, you will get a Share option that you can use to share the image or video on your timeline as well as Story.

How to turn off Facebook Story Archive

To turn off Facebook story archive, you need to follow these steps- Log in to your Facebook profile and visit the Archive tab from where you turned on the functionality. After that, click the settings gear button that is visible on your right-hand side. After doing this, you can find another button called Turn Off Story Archive. You need to click this button to perform the task.

You can still find all the expired stories even after turning it off. That’s all!
