The idea behind DVDtoHP is to extract audio from music DVDs without any loss of quality. Now, we should point out that music DVDs tend to have around six audio channels, but for some reason, several tools out there attempt to mix the channels into the unreliable two-channel recording. You see, in many cases, two-channel recording produces sound effects that shouldn’t be in the original audio. When using DVDtoHP to extract content, it doesn’t cause any of the problems we’ve mentioned, and that’s one of the main reasons why we love it so much.
How to Rip audio from DVD
Ripping audio from your old DVDs is not impossible because there are a ton of tools out there. However, DVDtoHP is one of the best in our eyes. 1] The user interface No matter your skillset when it comes down to using a computer, we doubt the user interface here will have you scratching your head. You see, everything is available on a single window, therefore, one doesn’t have to make a ton of clicks to get what they want. There are four tabs at the top, and we are going to discuss what they do, and whether or not if they are worth your time. 2] Convert to Binaural
Under this tab, which is the first one, users will have the option to convert to headphone audio or speaker audio. It all comes down to what you need, so make sure you know this before selecting from any of the two options. Additionally, you can select an HRTF file, or create an HRTF name. If not, just leave the name as Default and be done with it. 3] Convert with Sofalizer
OK, so if you weren’t aware, the Sofalizer is a plugin for music tools, so if you have one on your system that supports DVDtoHP, then you’re off to a good start. Just be sure to select the correct radius, and the Type, which is either Freg or Time. Moreover, be sure to locate and select your Sofa File from the box below because this is very important. 4] Extract audio from DVD
