How to Merge and Unmerge cells in Excel
There are many ways of merging cells and columns in Excel. If you need to merge multiple cells without losing data, try merging cells in Excel using the Concatenate function. The Merge and Unmerge tools delete data from any cell in the selection other than the top-left one. The primary use of this tool is to create a larger merged cell for writing titles and subtitles even before entering the actual data. In case of numbers, the number goes to the right-hand side. 3] Merge cells: It will merge the cells such that the larger cell acts as a single cell and the text will go where it would usually in a normal cell upon entering data. 4] Unmerge cells: It unmerges the selected cells.
