Fix Error 0xc1900107 in Windows 11/10
This can be resolved in three ways. The first is to simply restart your PC and see if the previous update completes. Second, when the first doesn’t work, you need to clean up temporary files and the System files. Lastly, you can run the Windows Update Troubleshooter if nothing works.
1] Complete Previous Pending Update
The simplest way to find out is to check if the power buttons have been replaced by ‘Update and Restart‘ or ‘Update and Shutdown’. This clearly shows that there is an update pending. So simply restart your PC, and it should complete the update. In case you don’t see any change in the status of power buttons, and have confirmed there is no pending update (Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update), here is how to fix this Shutdown/Restart not working or won’t go away.
2] Free up Space on your hard drive
There are two ways of doing this. Run the classic Disk Clean Up utility or use the Windows 10 inbuilt system ‘Storage Sense‘to perform this action. Both of these utilities will remove the temporary files and the System files from the system. You will be able to clear out Temporary files, downloads folder, empty Recycle Bin, and previous version of Windows. Make sure to double-check each of these places, so you don’t lose any important files accidentally. We all have a terrible habit to keep things in the Download folder.
3] Run Windows Update Troubleshooter
Windows 11/10 offers an in-built auto-repair service that can help any user fix small errors on their Windows PC. The Windows Update Troubleshooter is one of them which can fix issues like these when everything fails. Depending on your OS, do the following>
Open Windows 11 Settings > System > Troubleshoot. Click on Windows Update, and ‘Run the troubleshooter’Open Windows 10 Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshoot. Click on Windows Update, and ‘Run the troubleshooter’
The process may take several minutes to complete the process, so make sure to give it some time. Once it finds the issue, it will restart the PC after giving you a clear message on the issue.
