2] After visiting Google Calendar, sign in using your Google account. Now, click on the three horizontal dots on the top right side and go to “More tools > Pin to taskbar.” After that, Edge will pin the Google Calendar to your Windows 11 Taskbar. Now, whenever you click on its icon on your Taskbar, Google Calendar will be opened in Microsoft Edge.

Firefox does not have a built-in feature to add websites to Windows 11 Taskbar. Therefore, the steps to add Google Calendar to Windows 11 Taskbar using Firefox are different from Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Below, we have explained all these steps in detail. 1] Open Mozilla Firefox and go to Google Calendar. Now, sign in using your Google account. 2] Now, go to your desktop and create a shortcut. For this, right-click on the empty space on the desktop and go to “New > Shortcut.” This will open the Create Shortcut window. Here, you have to type the path for the Firefox .exe file followed by the URL of Google Calendar. You will find the Firefox .exe file on your computer at any one of the following locations:
Open Windows Explorer and check which of the above paths contains the Firefox .exe file. I found the .exe file of Firefox at the latter path on my laptop. Now, go to the Create Shortcut window and click on the Browse button. After that, select the Firefox .exe file from your computer. To make it simple, click on the address bar of File Explorer and copy the path where the Firefox .exe file is located. After that, paste the path in the required field in the Create Shortcut window. After pasting the path, type \firefox.exe. Do note that the complete path should be in quotations. If not, add inverted commas to the start and end of the path. Now, go to the tab in Firefox in which you have opened Google Calendar and copy the URL. Return to the Create Shortcut window and paste the copied URL preceded by -url.
After performing the above steps, your complete path should look like this: Do note that in the above path, there is a space before and after -url. Now, click Next, enter the name Google Calendar and click Finish. After that, the Google Calendar desktop shortcut will be created for Firefox. But, it has the icon of Firefox. You have to do one more step to change its icon from Firefox to Google Calendar. On Windows 11, you can easily change the icon of any file or folder. Before you change the firefox icon to Google Calendar, make sure that you have an ICO file on your computer. ICO is an extension for icon files.
