When run automatically, the task will wait at least 30 days after an updated component has been installed before uninstalling the previous versions of the component. You can run the StartComponentCleanup task using an elevated Command Prompt, using the following command:

If you are successful, you will see a SUCCESS message returned. Once it gets completed, restart your computer and check if your problem has been resolved.

3] Temporarily turn off the Microsoft Defender Firewall

 

Another possible reason that might cause the error is the Windows Firewall that blocks the Windows store sometimes. In such a case you need to turn off the firewall and then check if it fixes the issue. If you don’t find it helpful, turn the firewall back on. To turn off the Microsoft Defender Firewall, open an elevated command prompt. In the command prompt window, input the following command and hit enter to run it: Now go to the Windows App Store and try to update or download an app. if it works then the problem is resolved and now you may want to turn the firewall back on. So, again open the elevated command prompt and type in the below command – Now press Enter to run the command.

4] Try to update in Clean Boot State
