Turn off Windows Update Delivery Optimization

If you wish, you can disable and turn off WUDO or Windows Update Delivery Optimization feature in Windows 10. To turn it off, follow these steps:

There is another option there that says PCs on My Network and PCs on the Internet. It is selected by default and is used for Windows Update Delivery Optimization. You can choose it later if you wish to get updates faster and do not mind paying a bit of extra money on metered connections. TIP: You can disable Delivery Optimization in Windows 10 using the Group Policy or Registry Editor. I have set mine to Off. You may take a call on this. NOTE: From time to time you should check this setting as I have found that this setting reverts to On, every now and then – probably after some Windows Update. Windows 10 can now also send parts of apps or updates that you have downloaded using Delivery Optimization to other PCs. You can now also limit Windows Update bandwidth.
