Computer not recognizing Monitor, Keyboard or Mouse

These are the things you can do to fix the situation where your Windows 10 computer does not recognize the Monitor, Keyboard, or Mouse: Let us talk about them in detail.

1] Fix Power Issues

If you are setting up your computer but your CPU is not able to recognize the Monitor, Keyboard, or Mouse, you may be facing a Power issue. You can do these things to fix this issue.

Remove the CMOS Battery, probably placed on top of your Motherboard, reattach it, and see if it fixes the issue.Remove Powercord for 30 mins, pop it back in and see if it fixes the issue.Switch your PSU. Power Supply Unit converts AC to low-voltage DC that your computer’s internal component needs. Therefore, if it has malfunctioned, none of the external devices with work.If you are not able to fix the issue, try boiling the error down to a single component by removing every removable part such as the extra Hard Drive, RAM. Many users were able to fix the issue by replacing a RAM.

2] Manage Drivers

If your computer is still not recognizing an external monitor, keyboard, or mouse, try managing their respective drivers. The drivers you need to take a look at are:

Display adaptersMonitorsKeyboardsMice and other pointing devices.

Rollback Driver

The first thing you can do to fix the error is to Roll Back drivers. To do that, launch Device Manager by Win + X > Device Manager, expand Display Driver, right-click on your Graphics Driver, and select Properties. Go to the Drivers tab and click Roll Back Driver. If the option is greyed out, your driver is not updated, so, try updating it.

Update Driver

To update your driver, open Device Manager, expand Display Driver, right-click on your Graphics Driver, and select Update Driver.  Follow the on-screen instruction to update your Driver

Reinstall Driver

To reinstall your drivers, open Device Manager, expand Display Driver, right-click on your Graphics Driver, and select Uninstall Device.  Now, unplug and replug the device and check if it fixes the issue.
