If Clipchamp is not opening or working or the video, audio, and image files you have added to your projects won’t load or export either in your web browser or the app installed on your Windows 11/10 computer, then the suggestions and solutions we have presented below can help you resolve the issue on your system. Let’s look at the description of the process as it relates to each of the listed solutions.

2] Run an SFC scan

In the case where some affected PC users had the Clipchamp video editor installed on their PC, but after installing the latest Windows build, they were unable to open the app on their device with the error code 0x80070002 being triggered; what worked reportedly is to run the SFC scan. So, you should give this a try and see if that fixes the problem. In this scenario, you can uninstall the update you recently installed or perform System Restore to get your system back to an earlier point in time when the app was working just fine on your PC before the update installation.

3] General troubleshooting for Clipchamp’s slow performance, freezing, crashing, not loading or exporting

Refresh the browser page if your project is taking too long to load. Clipchamp requires an active internet connection to function and to save your editing progress. So, for best performance, and to avoid losing changes to your video, ensure you have a stable internet connection when using Clipchamp.Reopen the project by going back to your Projects Page and clicking the Clipchamp Create logo in the top left of the screen and then reopen the project.Make sure you’re not accessing Clipchamp in Incognito/InPrivate Mode on your browser.Log out of your Clipchamp account and then clear the browser cache (make sure to choose All time in the Clear browsing data menu and select the Cached images and files option), then restart Chrome/Edge.Free up processing resources on your computer to ensure there’s more memory and GPU power available to process your editing project. To do this, close other browser tabs, and only keep Clipchamp open in one browser tab and the foreground. Then, make sure to close other applications running on your computer. When you first start working on a video in Clipchamp, you might see a popup stating app.clipchamp.com wants to store files on this device. It is necessary to click the Allow button in this popup for the video editor to function properly.Use smaller and fewer input media files to reduce loading times because larger and longer files take more time to process before they’re available to be used. For example, if in use, you can compress 4K clips to 1080p first with Handbrake before using them in a Clipchamp video. Keep in mind that adding multiple media files at once can also increase processing times.Disable problematic browser extensions like Ghostery or Adblock Plus that are known to and can prevent the functional workflow of Clipchamp. Also, disable Google Translate or VidIQ extensions known to have caused problems importing media or exporting a finished video.Make sure not to delete the source files from your computer as there are cases where Clipchamp might ask you to relink the video, audio, and image files you used in a project. So, if you delete, rename, or move these source files on your computer, it could cause problems when next you reopen the video on your device.

4] Check your browser web security settings

If you’re accessing Clipchamp in Edge, check the address bar to see if Added security is enabled for app.clipchamp.com. This security feature can be of use on some websites; however, it can also block legitimate web technologies that the Clipchamp editor needs to function correctly. In this case, you need to add app.clipchamp.com to the Tracking Prevention Exceptions list to get Clipchamp to work in Edge. If you’re accessing Clipchamp in the Brave browser (which should work because it’s also Chromium-based like Chrome and Edge), you might experience issues due to the anti-fingerprinting feature in the Brave Shields. In this case, you can click the lion icon to the right of the address bar and temporarily allow fingerprinting in Clipchamp. If the problem persists, it might be because your browser automatically disables some graphics card drivers which could make it unstable. For example, Chrome does not allow some integrated Intel HD graphics to initialize WebGL, which is a requirement to use Clipchamp. In this case, to solve this, you can try enabling the #ignore-gpu-blacklist flag in Chrome/Edge, which will allow all graphics (GPU) drivers to be used. Keep in mind that, depending on the driver issues, changing this setting might cause your browser to crash or behave abnormally. 5] Repair/Reset/Reinstall Clipchamp

If you are having issues with the Clipchamp app installed on your Windows 11/10, you can resolve the issue by first attempting to repair the app. If that does not help, you can reset the app and if the problem persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the app via Microsoft Store on your device.

6] Check hardware requirements

If nothing has worked for you up to this point, it might be that your computer does not meet the hardware requirements to ensure Clipchamp works as expected. The minimum requirement includes at least 8 GB (preferably 16 GB) available RAM your Windows 11/10 PC should be running a 64-bit OS and the 64-bit version of Chrome/Edge. In addition, make sure your computer has sufficient disk space that is required for temporary project files and space during the video processing and exporting phase. The available free space should be more than the size of the media files you’re using in your project. If need be, you can run Disk Cleanup to free up & increase hard disk space on your Windows 11/10 computer. I hope you find this post helpful! Why is my Clipchamp not exporting?
