Change Text Cursor Indicator size, color and thickness in Windows 11
Accessibility has been a major factor while designing Windows 11. A lot of new options were added and the menu was revamped. Rather, the ease of access was such an important factor for the new operating system that top officials from Microsoft dedicated a major part of the introductory session to it.
Windows Accessibility settings now allow you to turn On or Off, customize, change or adjust the Text Cursor Indicator size and thickness. An important part of visual accessibility to a system is the size, color, and thickness of the text cursor. The procedure to change the same for Windows 11 is as follows:

With the roll-out of a new version of the Windows version, Microsoft has attempted to improve cursor visibility options in Windows 10. It has added a new Accessibility option (Text Cursor Indicator) to the Settings application that lets users change the pointer color on the system to suit their preference. This new capability adds a visible indicator to the text cursor, thereby improving its visibility and making it easier to spot. Here is how you configure the option. Check out how Windows 10 lets you manage the thickness of the text cursor and add a colorful indicator to make it more visible. If you have the latest version of Windows 10 installed, click on ‘Start’ and select ‘Settings’. Next, choose ‘Ease of Access’. Switch to the ‘Text Cursor’ option under the ‘Ease of Access’ setting. Switch to the pane on the right-hand side.
Enable the option via toggle.
Adjust the text cursor indicator size by dragging the slider to the desired level.
Select the color of your choice. It’s desirable to choose a dark color so, the cursor indicator is clearly visible.
Also, you can choose a custom color. Hit the ‘Pick a custom color’ button. Select the desired shade and press ‘Done’. Finally, adjust the text cursor thickness by dragging the slider to the desired level. Once you are done you will notice that Windows 10 will use the indicator to highlight the position of the cursor on the screen; the indicator will be visible in many applications like Microsoft Office Word, Notepad, and other places such as File Explorer, web browser text input fields.
How is text cursor an accessibility feature?
Accessibility features are targeted towards individuals with disabilities, primarily audio and visual. All types of visual problems aren’t proceeding towards blindness. Many of them blur the text.
