With the roll-out of a new version of the Windows version, Microsoft has attempted to improve cursor visibility options in Windows 10. This new capability adds a visible indicator to the text cursor, thereby improving its visibility and making it easier to spot. Here is how you configure the option. Check out how Windows 10 lets you manage the thickness of the text cursor and add a colorful indicator to make it more visible. If you have the latest version of Windows 10 installed, click on ‘Start’ and select ‘Settings’. Next, choose ‘Ease of Access’. Switch to the ‘Text Cursor’ option under the ‘Ease of Access’ setting. Switch to the pane on the right-hand side.
Enable the option via toggle.
Adjust the text cursor indicator size by dragging the slider to the desired level.
Select the color of your choice. It’s desirable to choose a dark color so, the cursor indicator is clearly visible.
Also, you can choose a custom color. Hit the ‘Pick a custom color’ button. Select the desired shade and press ‘Done’. Finally, adjust the text cursor thickness by dragging the slider to the desired level. Once you are done you will notice that Windows 10 will use the indicator to highlight the position of the cursor on the screen; the indicator will be visible in many applications like Microsoft Office Word, Notepad, and other places such as File Explorer, web browser text input fields.
