Why can’t I scroll using Arrow keys in Chrome browser?

By default Chrome browser allows the user the navigate using the arrow key. The feature works like a charm, so much so, that it became the default way of navigating inside a webpage using the arrow key. So, if the keys fail to work for you then chances are there is something wrong with your browser. First of all, we need to check if Caret browsing is enabled. 1] Restart the computer and browser

2] Disable Caret Browsing

Caret Browsing allows you to navigate through text using the arrow keys. This may sound like a good feature, but it can also stop forbid you from scrolling up and down. So, it is better to turn it off, if you are accustomed to the previous way of browsing. Follow the given steps to do the same. Restart the browser and you will be good to go.

3] Delete Cache, Cookies, and Browsing Data

Arrow keys can also stop functioning because of corrupted caches, cookies, and browsing data. They can be easily removed without deleting any important files. To delete cache, cookies, and browsing data in Chrome, obey the following procedure. Hopefully, this will do the job for you.

4] Remove Extensions

Chrome Extensions are meant to help you out. But there are some that can cause problems for you. They can stop some sites from working on your device, stop the functioning of some buttons, etc. What we are going to do is disable the extension one by one and see which one is causing the trouble. Once, you know which extension is it, you can remove it and the issue will be resolved. So, click on the Extension icon from the Menu bar (top of the window), click on the dots associated with the extension, and click Remove from Chrome. Do this until you find the real culprit, removing it will solve the problem.

5] Reset Chrome

How do I enable scrollbar in Chrome?

Scrollbar in Chrome is enabled by default, but if for some reason you are not seeing it, then you can get it back from Flags. Open Chrome, paste the following URL in the address bar, and hit Enter.
